A Catch-up Post...A Busy April!

April was a busy month. I don't we were home all together on any of the weekends. We were enjoying our new found freedom of not having a softball schedule to abid by.
Addy's First Easter Egg Hunt
Skyline Crew and Friends @Refugio
Our neighbors Ann and Cesar got engaged. They are telling B and I can't remember his exact words but it was classic B.
Jeff's birthday (and Cesar's too) while Addy and I were in AZ at Terra's wedding.
The Cal Poly and Prunedale Girls at Terra's Wedding. I should have been middle. You can take the girl out of Prunedale but you can't take Prunedale out of the girl.
The New Family Rivalry...like we need more to argue about. And B is so caught in the middle about this one. But I think I have pulled him back from the darkside.

It is almost April...

Wow! Where have the first 3 months of the year gone? 2010 is a quarter of the way over. Things seemed to be pretty hectic around, it might just be the construction. We are getting closer...hopefully today the rough plumbing, mechanical and shear walls pass inspection. Then next is stucco and drywall, i think. I can't keep track these days.

We are busy with Tball. Jeffrey is coaching and I am trying very hard not to be a backseat driver. Ok, I am totally a backseat driver. I just can't help myself. I know it is only Tball. Here's some pics

Addy is 6 months and some change. She has quite the little personality and a temper. She is a happy baby about 95% but when you make her mad she gets real mad real fast. (No comments from the peanut gallery.) Most of the time these days making her consists of taking her away for her momma or trying lay her down for a nap or bedtime. The other 95% loves to reach for everything, and so close to being on the move. She loves to be entertained, the louder and the crazier the better. Here are a couple of pics from her 6 month photo shot with Grandma.

She has started rice cereal. I even made her some baby food from fresh veggies that we got at our weekly trip to farmer's market. But something is causing rumblies in her tummy. So we are goinig to just go back to the cereal for a few days. Here is the video of her first cereal meal.

We had a busy April ahead. Camping for Easter with the nieghborhood, Terra's Wedding, Jeffrey's Bday, more Tball, and the Big Sur Relay.

A Quick Update!

Hi everyone!  Our addition is moving right along.  We have a new roof.  And the rooms are framed.  Next step plumbing and electrical.

Addy is rolling over and it is becoming a mode of getting where she needs to.  She is also having a bit of frustration issues because she sees what she wants isn't quite sure how to get there.  She enjoys her time in her exersaucer.

B has been attending a soccer camp once a week.  He enjoys the running around and I enjoy that he gets some of his energy out.  But he also like to stay out of the "beehive" and chooses to play goalie every now and then.  B has also get a new loft bed.

Sorry for the short post but I figured it has been awhile so I better update.

It was been a few weeks....

Hi everyone!  It has been a few weeks.  Things have been a little hectic around here.  So I will do my best to catch ya'all up.  First off, here are the newest pictures from the addition.  Things are moving right along. And we survived the rain the biggest issue was the lack of work for the week.

At beginning of the month we had Addysen baptized.  It was a very personal ceremony made possible by some of our dearest friends.  Thank you so much to Rick and Debbie for getting everything coordinated and hosting lunch.  Thank you to everyone shared the day with us and all the amazing pictures you took.  We are very blessed to have all of you in our lives.

B is study hard in school these days and has joined a homework club after school.  He is eager to learn and be the best student possible.  He has also started a soccer camp.  Chess club has ended and he anxious for the next session to start.  His chess instructor says that he like to attack!

Addy is developing quite the personality these days.  She is rolling over, trying really hard to make raspberries, and loves to be entertained by her brother.

Happy February to everyone!

The Addition

Well,  the addition has started.  Actually it started when Addy was 10 days old and Jeff decided to take the jack hammer to the concrete patio in the backyard. We have been under construction for about a month now.  There was lots of digging more than expected due to poor drainage and bedrock being deeper than it was thought to be.  Once the dirt work was finished, we got concrete on New Year's eve.  And the framing has started.  There has been lots of banging so Addy is learning to get naps despite the noise.  Here are some pics...

I have a whole lot to say about the addition, but this is a family blog so I will keep it short and sweet:)

For all of you who need your Addy fix, here she is...

Chrismtas has come and gone!

Merry Christmas Everyone!  We have a had very busy last couple of weeks.  B had his school Christmas performance.  Grandma Henri drove down to watch and to use her new camera.

That same weekend we traveled to Prunedale for the Garcia Family Christmas Party.  It was great to see all of the family for the holiday.  We put all the little cousins on the couch together and it was like paparizzi with all the people taking pictures of them.

We spent the next few days getting ready for Christmas.  Baking for the neighbors and Jeff's work which was a bit of a challenge this year.  I did have a little helper but sometimes I am not sure we got our measurements quite right.  A littlest helper made sure that our baking times weren't always accurate.

And we squeezed in a quick trip to see Santa.  This year because of all the Santa questions we kept our fingers crossed that it wasn't the same Santa as last year. Because when he say my Cuesta softball jacket,  he asked if I coached softball and preceded to tell all about his travel softball coaching career, how many players he has at the college softball level...yadda yadda..HEY SANTA, this was all at the North Pole RIGHT?  Well, it was but this year I didn't wear any softball gear.

B went to bed early on Christmas eve in hopes that Santa would be here sooner.  And woke up even earlier, he opened his stocking right away.  We were able to get him to wait open his presents until Addy woke up (which I believe he woke her up when he went to "check on her").  He got Rock Band, which let's just say we are getting better at it.  Addy got Sophie the giraffe.  My parents got here around noon and spent the day with us.  The "Santa" who leaves gifts for B in Prunedale brought him a bike.  He was very excited.

As I mentioned on Facebook, I am the Dark Side, a Decepticon, Cobra, or any villian for that matter.  Thanks to his presents from his Grandparents in Turkey.  I am frequently attacked by Nerf guns.  And to make matters worse, I thought Addy would be on my side in this battle of Good v. Evil.  But she is not....

Addy is 3 months & More Christmas

Addy is 3 months.  She is beginning to smile and laugh more as you can see from the pictures.  Although she didn't have very many smiles when we went to Sears to have portraits taken. C'mon really the girl was lame who tickles a 3 month to get them to smile and shoves a stuffed something in her face.   I think Addy was thinking that "Stupid people just aren't funny."  But she is the professional and I am not as you can tell from the unsuccessful attempts to get a pic of B and Addy from the Christmas cards.

B is totally in the Christmas spirit.  We have been with many "craft" projects and holiday.  But, highlight of it all is the Lego Advent Calendar.  He is gets a new piece to build everyday.
